Spreading Kyle’s love by furthering his passions.

Welcome to The Kyle Swanson Legacy Fund

Our Guiding Principles

The Fund will be guided by the same principles that defined Kyle’s life and relationships - Kindness, Gentleness, Loyalty, and Inclusion.

The Kyle Swanson Legacy Fund (KSLF) was established in 2022 as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization shortly after Kyle’s unexpected passing.  Our mission is to advance the causes that mattered most to Kyle.  He left an impact on so many during his life, and we strive to continue that legacy of Kindness, Gentleness, Loyalty and Inclusion.

The KSLF identifies and supports organizations that are furthering Kyle’s passions of youth sports, animals and living with cancer; all in the spirit of community, inclusion and giving.

Kyle’s Passions

Sports

Kyle was an avid sports fan from the very beginning.  As a youngster, Kyle swam, made the Little League All-Star team in baseball and played Select soccer.  However, it was swimming that would help define Kyle’s work ethic, perseverance and determination.

Sports were more than a casual hobby in his life, they were truly a passion – a passion that he used to bond with family and friends.  There wasn’t a day that went by that he wasn’t texting, calling or sharing stats or comments about some game or player.

Animals

Kyle and animals were a natural fit, especially dogs.  He loved his own three dogs along with all his friends four-legged family members.  Whenever Kyle saw an animal, his smile would say it all!

Kyle was often described as “not having a mean bone in his body” and he saw the unconditional love and nonjudgmental ways of animals which mirrored how he treated everyone. Kyle’s compassion and sensitivity grew from this relationship with animals.

Cancer Support

Like many, Kyle’s life was touched by cancer and he saw how it could affect people. When a high school and college friend developed cancer as a freshman, Kyle was the first to visit her and would gather his college friends and drive from Indiana University to Cincinnati to support and lift her spirit. Later his sister-in-law was twice challenged by cancer and Kyle was deeply touched by her spirited recovery.  His loving and caring nature shown through during these times.
